The functionality of SeismoSignal goes beyond what is presented above. This summary will focus on a few of the more fundamental aspects of the program such as; importing ground motions, creating response spectra, and calculating ground motion intensity parameters, SeisoSignal calculates:

When you select the open icon in SeismoSignal, the default is to search of .dat files. It is helpful to change this setting to search for all files (some time series may be .txt or .at2). The following figure (shown for a PEER .at2 file) shows the import window and its capabilities.

One of the most useful functions of SeismoSignal is its capability to calculate a multitude of ground motion intensity parameters for given time histories. These ground motion parameters can be found under the Ground Motion Parameter tab in the main ribbon. All of these parameters are exportable to Excel or .txt files. Below is a list of most of the intensity parameters and their definitions. Any value with RMS after it is the root-mean square of that value (i.e. Acceleration RMS).
